1. What are the core values of API BANK a.d. Beogradbusiness philosophy?
Being a small bank on the Serbian market carries its advantages. Our strategic vision is to use our ability to implement new services fast while using strong expertise of our team of working on EU banking markets in order to transform operating model of the bank to better address the needs of existing and new clients. We consider ourselves to be niche bank and our success is based on our ability to find and implement innovative banking solutions to attract more new clients. To achieve that, our employees are very important for us and we appreciate creativity, critical thinking, cooperation and communications as significant values. Our main target is to build up workable team of trustable and talent people, because this team will be face of API Bank.
2. How do you perceive API BANK a.d. Beograd strategy for further growth on this market?
Strategy of the Bank is building the platform for integration into the European financial market. We aim to become universal bank for clients located in any part of the world while remaining a niche bank on the Serbian market. Therefore, products of the bank need to be modern and in-demand by individuals as well as companies. Not all our ideas can come into real life as fast as we would like they come, but we learning to be patient and consequent.
Despite we view modern generation of banking product users who demand speed of execution and convenience of service from the bank as our target group of clients in the future, so far our main focus in contribute to the development of the Serbian economy by the way of financing domestic businesses.
3. What is in your view the role of FIC and what are your expectations?
FIC has proven its effectiveness in terms of communicating message of the business community to the government bodies. We consider FIC as a promoter of the investment conducive business environment and solid business and API Bank strives to participate as direct full-time member and by delegating employees to working groups. In addition, FIC for us is source of new knowledges about the domestic market, its traditions, habits and unwritten rules.
Our goal is to promote legislative acts that fit business strategy of the bank and would provide competitive advantage to the bank such as remote identification of clients and amendments to foreign exchange and payments in foreign currency regulations.
We want to contribute knowledge of our specialists when developing industry standards and to work together with other banks in achieving harmonization of Serbian banking regulation with EU banking regulation, which is more liberal. We believe that our membership will bring not only benefits in expanding our communication network, but also we will try to contribute and add value to FIC initiatives.
