Assembly of the Best Young European Mathematicians Soon Taking Place in Belgrade
The successes of young Serbian mathematicians in recent years have become a matter of national pride, and the new opportunity for them to prove themselves, and in Belgrade, will be 4th Mathematical Grammar School Cup.
This is a serious international competition which gathers more than 150 students from twenty European countries every year, and is the largest event of its kind in Serbia. The best young mathematicians, physicists and computer scientists from all over Europe will gather in Belgrade at the end of June with the opportunity not just to compete but to get to know the landmarks and attractions of our capital city and Serbia.
The goal of this competition, in addition to encouraging the development of science is the cooperation of talented students from Serbia with students from other European countries and the presentation of Serbia in the best possible way to future successful business people.
General sponsor of the Cup for the fourth year in a row is the the Piraeus Bank A.D. Beograd. Piraeus Bank Chairman of Executive Board Vojislav Lazarevic stressed that the young talents are the best asset of Serbia and that the Mathematical Grammar School is very important institution for their education and formation.
Fourth Mathematical Grammar School Cup will be held from June 27th to July 2nd in Belgrade, and the medals presentation to the best teams and individuals will be organized during official closing ceremony at the National Assembly of Serbia.
