New Steps on Hodogram on Cars

On August 17, FIC provided to the Government the amended Draft action plan for curbing illegal trade of cars and reserve parts, so called hodogram.

As a reminder, thanks to the proactive approach FIC got the opportunity to propose the Draft hodogram to be adopted by the Government’s Working Group for Suppression of Illicit Trade and Coordination Commission. The amendments come as response to the comments of the Tax Administration, with FIC having accepted the comments regarding determining the quantity of vehicles and reserve parts put on the market, and provided additional info regarding the TA proposal for changes regarding determining the number of vehicles imported according to the free trade agreement (with EUR1 form) and damaged vehicles. Hodogram is in the form of a table, presenting main phases of the control of the trade of cars and spare parts, with the competent state bodies indicated for such phases, as well as the authority in charge of processing the data on controls. Hodogram on cars will be discussed at the meeting of the WG for Suppression of Illicit Trade in September. WG met on August 21, but discussion on this document was postponed as representatives from the automobile industry couldn’t attend.
