Belgrade, December 10th, 2009 – Kjell-Morten Johnsen, CEO of Telenor, was elected President of the Board of Directors of the Foreign Investors Council at the regular annual meeting of the General Assembly held yesterday.
Goran Pitić, President of the Board of Directors of Societe Generale Serbia, will hold the post of the Vice President.
Johnsen came to Serbia after a long career in the top ranking management echelons of Telenor Company. He was Senior Vice-President of Telenor for Central and Eastern Europe and Vice-President of Telenor network in charge of Telenor fixed telephony activities in Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Before that, he held management positions in several Norwegian companies and has many years of experience from the markets of Russia, Ukraine and France.
Other members of the Board of Directors include General Manager of British American Tobacco East Balkans Kristian Kornerup Jensen, CEO of Carlsberg Serbia Aleksandar Radosavljević, CEO of Mercedes- Benz SCG Andreas Binder, President of Henkel Serbia Nenad Vuković, General Manager of Lafarge BFC Costin Borc, General Manager of PepsiCo International for Western Balkans Vassilis Glinos, and Deputy Managing Director of Politika Newspapers&Мagazines and WAZ Managing Director Werner Herics.
Newly elected FIC President Kjell-Morten Johnsen presented the team that will lead the association for the next two years and pointed out that it will continue to advocate for continuation of reforms, formulation of comprehensive economic policy, more efficient administration, and a level playing field for all players.
Also, heads of the FIC committees presented their work and achievements in the current year, revealing the plans and strategies for 2010.
FIC General Assembly adopted the Annual Report for 2009, endorsed the new FIC Statute compliant with the Law on Associations, and took a decision to modify the membership fees to enable expansion of the Executive Office.
