FIC members supported the project of the Ministry of Education and Public Policy Secretariat „The Classroom I would like“. It was appreciated by the Secretariat, who thanked FIC for inviting members to engage. On November 5, FIC informed members on the project, aimed to equip elementary school classrooms in line with the pupils’ wishes and with their active participation. Apart from securing financial support for classroom equipment, the idea is to develop leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and notion of SWAT analysis of projects. Several FIC members responded to the call. On February 11, a meeting was held gathering Republic Secretariat of Public Policy, NALED, FIC and Digital Serbia in view of realization of the second cycle of program. Online presentation will be held in March, and FIC members will be invited. The goal is to increase the number of companies willing to support the project and include the schools across Serbia, not only Belgrade. Pilot project was successfully implemented on a small sample of 10 Belgrade schools. More information can be found in the series by public broadcaster RTS available at the following links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QiFM6lgM_o&t=1332s and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pD6mvhtmh0k&t=520s. Children were given the task to equip their classroom in the way they want, to calculate the costs and explore the market via internet. Financial resources were then collected by model-based crowdfunding on the platform donacije.rs.
