Legal Committee re-elected leadership in electronic voting on June 8-9. Partner at Zivkovic Samardzic Law Office Igor Zivkovski was re-elected as Committee President, while Legal Expert at OTP Bank Serbia Jelena Vukic-Suljagic was re-elected as Committee Vice President. We therefore use this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to both Igor and Jelena for accepting the roles of Legal Committee Chairpersons, thus committing themselves to two more years of investing significant energy and efforts to the Committee’s work. Two year program is on the agenda of the virtual Committee meeting on June 11.

Committee President Igor Zivkovski is Partner at Zivkovic Samardzic Law Office. His previous experience include the position of associate at Karanović & Nikolić Law Firm in Belgrade and intern at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague. He advises clients in the following areas: Corporate and M&A; Commercial; Tax; and Competition. He graduated at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, completed LL.M. and specialized studies in tax advisory with distinction. He gained theoretical knowledge at various seminars, conferences and research visits held in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary and Romania. Igor is the author and co-author of numerous articles published in prestigious scientific journals as well as a lecturer on a variety of seminars, conferences and workshops on topics related to his area of expertise. He is a member of the Belgrade and Serbian Bar Association and Business Lawyers Association of Serbia. He is a committee President since October 2018, and was previously a Committee VP.

Jelena Vukic-Suljagic is a Legal Expert at OTP Bank Serbia. Jelena has extensive experience as a legal expert and a more than a decade long engagement in FIC. She has been in Societe Generale since 2014, now OTP Bank Serbia where she follows up regulatory changes, drafts various documentation, analyzes and implements the EU Directives and Group’s procedures in several fields, and provides advice to the important customers of the Bank. Her previous experience includes the position of the Head of the Legal Support Unit in Banca Intesa, Attorney at Law in her independent law office, assistant in the Representative Office of Beogradska banka in Moscow and experience from trainee to legal advisor in Belgrade Institute for Construction and Development. Jelena graduated from the Faculty of Law at Belgrade University and passed the Bar Exam. She has advanced knowledge of English and Russian. She has been at the position of a Committee VP since February 2019.
