Infrastructure &Real-Estate Committee Established

Infrastructure & Real-Estate Committee is the second committee created as part of the reorganization of FIC working committees in 2020. In electronic voting on June 11-12 the Committee elected leadership. Ivan Gazdic, Partner at Petrikić & Partneri was elected as a Committee President while a senior associate at Bojović Drašković, Popović & Partners Mario Kijanovic was elected as Vice President on a two-year mandate. We therefore use this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to Ivan and Mario for accepting the roles of Infrastructure & Real Estate Committee Chairpersons, thus committing themselves to two years of investing significant energy and efforts to the Committee’s work. Two-year program is on the agenda of the virtual Committee meeting on June 17.

Committee President Ivan Gazdic is a partner in Petrikić & Partneri. He has been practicing law for more than 10 years, assisting clients with the development of commercial real estate and energy projects in Serbia and in Montenegro. Aside from the real estate he has expertise in finance, corporate, and commercial matters. He is a member of the Serbian Bar Association and the International Bar Association, and an active member in IBA’s Real Estate Section and Power Law Committee. He is ranked as a real estate and/or energy expert in Serbia by all relevant global legal directories: Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, and Who’s Who Legal. Ivan Gazdic was active in the RE Committee since 2013, and was its President from 2016 until 2020, when the committees were restructured. Ivan Gazdic is a graduate of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law.

Committee VP Mario Kijanovic is a senior associate at Bojović, Drašković, Popović & Partners, where his focus is on real estate, finance and construction, corporate and commercial matters and tax. He is providing real estate legal support regarding development of major projects in Serbia, including projects of national interests. Committee VP earned LL. B. degree at the Faculty of Law, Belgrade University. He co-authored a number of articles in reputable publications such as CEE Legal Matters and Thomson Reuters and authored many of BD2P’s Newsletters. Mario Kijanovic is ranked as a “Rising Star” in Real Estate within The Legal 500 EMEA report. He is a member of Serbian Bar Association and SELA.
