HR Committee elected leadership in electronic voting on June 11-12. Attorney at Law/ Partner at Karanović & Partners o.a.d. Milena Jaksic-Papac was re-elected as Committee President, while senior associate at Bojović Drašković, Popović & Partners Milos Andrejevic was elected as Committee Vice President. We therefore use this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to both Milena and Milos for accepting the roles of HR Committee Chairpersons, thus committing themselves to two years of investing significant energy and efforts to the Committee’s work. Two-year program is on the agenda of the virtual Committee meeting on June 16.
Committee President Milena Jaksic Papac is a Partner in Karanović & Partners, as well as the Head of the Employment Practice Group. She is with the Karanovic & Partners for 12 years and deals with all aspects of employment and labour law, including the engagement and termination of employees and top management, salaries and employment benefits, relationships with trade unions and negotiations of collective bargaining agreements. Milena Jaksic Papac was most recently engaged in providing advice regarding COVID-19 pandemic measures introduced by the Serbian Government and the means of their implementation. She is active in the HR Committee for a long time: she was one of the first authors of the WB text on labour regulations, she held the position of the Committee Vice President in the period 2011-2014, and was a committee President in the previous 2 years. Milena Jaksic Papac is also a dedicated member of the Ius Laboris, an international law firm network specializing in labour, employment and pensions law committed to highest standards of quality in providing legal services. She graduated from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law.
Committee Vice President Milos Andrejević is a senior associate at Bojović, Drašković, Popović & Partners. His main focus is on employment law, immigration, data protection, corporate and commercial matters. New Committee VP is a key member of the employment team providing legal support to multinational leaders in various fields on employment aspects of their operations in Serbia and beyond. Prior to joining Bojović Drašković Popović & Partners, Milos was an attorney at law in PR Legal, a reputable Serbian full-service law firm. His previous career includes a position of an associate at JMS Law Office focusing on labour law, litigation and real estate. Milos Andrejevic earned a Master of Law in Public International Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. He co-authored several articles in reputable publications and was ranked as a “Rising Star” in Employment within The Legal 500 EMEA report. As a member of FIC, he participated in drafting the relevant sections of the White Book.
