FIC participated at the first session of the Council for Development of Digital Economy, held on September 20. Prime Minister Ana Brnabic chaired the event, and other speakers included the Trade Minister, NBS Governor and Intellectual Property Office Director. Projects in the area of digital economy, innovations, high-tech entrepreneurship and digitalization of business were reviewed. It was agreed to continue cooperation and hold meetings on a monthly basis. Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that the focus of the Government will be the following: availability of financing of innovative companies, development of digital infrastructure, investments in research and development. There will be 35 projects aimed in achieving this goal, on the overall value of 177.6 million Euros.  FIC was represented by the Regulatory Officer Jelena Lazarevic, who replaced a regular member FIC Executive Director Aleksandar Ljubic.  The Council was established in April 2021, with the aim to define priority goals and activities, and create the conditions for systemic incentives and improvement of the position of Serbia on the indexes measuring development in the domains of digital economy, innovations, high-tech entrepreneurship, and digitalization in business.
