We are pleased to have hosted a successful session in collaboration with Deloitte, represented by Filip Kovačević, Tax Partner, Dimi Bespalov, R&D Director, Brandon Eychaner, Senior Specialist Lead in NLP & GenAI, and Gregor Strojin, Deloitte Legal AI Regulatory CoE Leader, exploring the impact and application of GenAI on business.
The event attracted a strong presence of FIC members, demonstrating significant interest in AI and GenAI-driven transformation.
During the session, Deloitte first presented practical solutions and use cases of GenAI in business, most of which are already readily accessible to most of us.
The workshop focused on the current state of GenAI, with technically grounded myth busting, a discussion of tools being used for productivity increases, the benefits and risks of using such systems, and insight into where the most value is derived from using tools based on generative models. An effort was also made to explain the difference between AI and GenAI, as well as to what GenAI can and cannot do, and how it works.
In the end, the regulatory framework was presented by Gregor, who has been at the forefront of global AI regulations developments since 2018, also serving as the Chairman and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence of the Council of Europe (CAHAI), which prepared the recently signed Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence. As such, he was also closely involved with the preparation of the EU AI Act and shared the most important aspects, along with several interesting insights with the group.
