Hereby we announce the regular elections for FIC Committees and the implementation of the reorganization of Committees.

Reorganization is aimed at increasing efficiency and will result in decrease of their number from 11 to 8. Having in mind the current situation with COVID-19 epidemic and preventive measures that can be taken, the elections will be held electronically.  We encourage members to consider running for the posts of Committee Presidents and Vice Presidents. Committee chairpersons assume bigger responsibility, but also have more opportunities for direct interaction with Government officials and other important stakeholders and hold a prominent role in shaping committee activities. We present you preliminary schedule for the elections scheduled for June: Financial Services Committee is first in a row on June 4-5, followed by the Legal Committee on June 8-9, Human Resources Committee on June 11-12, same date as Infrastructure and Real Estate Committee, and Anti-Illicit Trade and Food Committee on June 18-19. Taxation Committee, Pharma Committee and Telecommunications & Digital Economy Committee are expected to hold elections in October-November. Members are timely invited by e-mail to submit nominations and participate at the meetings. Reorganization was decided in 2019 in order to align Committees topics with White Book Task Force, as well as to increase efficiency and overall provide a wider approach to topics. Committees dealing with similar topics will be merged, while the scope of the current Leasing and Insurance Committee will be extended to financial services in general due to increased interest of members to deal with such topics. As a result, the number of committees will also be reduced from 11 to 8, and it is expected that the reorganization will result in better service to members.
