In the interview for Digitalization and Cyber Security edition, Telco & Digital Economy Committee President Daniel Susnjar said that COVID-19 pandemic forced to digital transformation even those companies that didn’t plan to engage in the process. “We truly believe that digital transformation is the general need and not a privilege reserved only for large companies and systems”, he said. FIC recognizes the reliable and legally accepted identification in digital environment represents the basis of further digitalization in Serbia, he said. When it comes to the cyber security, Daniel Susnjar said that companies shouldn’t regard it as a task to be pursued from time to time, but as an element fully integrated in the business culture. He was also asked about the FIC major initiative for digitalization of financial services in Serbia. The initiative contains 23 different proposals, some of them are top priority such as digitalization of bill exchange, digital exchange of data between the financial institutions and state bodies, and distance identification of clients. He praised the good cooperation with state bodies related to the implementation of this initiative, and readiness to have it incorporated. Other issues addressed in the interview included cyber-attacks, cyber security of various sectors, insurance against cyber risks, and improvement of cyber security.
