On December 10, FIC sent to the new Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure the proposals for recovery of the real estate and infrastructure industry in the context of the coronavirus crisis. The proposals were accompanied by the relevant White Book positions. As a reminder, FIC sent a similar set of proposals for this area in April to the former Minister.

Proposals to eliminate the negative consequences after the epidemic of the coronavirus include: getting construction permits on the basis of the right of use, at least in the following 12 months; to offer reduction of the conversion fee; to enable registering the works before the payment of the contribution for the construction land; to offer reduction of the contribution; to address the issues for financing of the constructed apartments and offices (two different proposals were presented); and to reinforce the capacities of the cadastre.

Ministry has responded positively on the FIC initiative and the online meeting between Ministry’s and FIC representatives will be organized on December 22. Ministry will be represented by the new Minister Tomislav Momirovic, State Secretary Aleksandra Damnjanovic, Assistant Ministers for Road Transport and for Spatial Planning and Urbanism Milan Petrovic and Djordje Milic and Advisors to the Minister Marko Obradovic and Iva Simatovic. FIC will be represented by Infrastructure & Real Estate Committee chairs Ivan Gazdic and Mario Kijanovic, as well as FIC Executive Director Aleksandar Ljubic and FIC Regulatory Officer Jelena Lazarevic.
