Digitalising the workplace is no longer the challenge. Making technology, regulation and people move forward at the same pace is.
Digitalization is increasingly transforming the way companies operate, organize their work processes, and communicate with employees. At the same time, the adoption of new technologies raises important questions regarding legal certainty, the protection of employees’ rights, and the adaptation of existing regulations to modern ways of working. These issues were at the heart of the event, providing an opportunity to discuss experiences gained through digitalization efforts to date, the challenges faced by companies and institutions, and potential improvements to the regulatory framework that would support the further implementation of digital solutions while safeguarding legal certainty and employees’ rights.
From eSick Leave and digital-by-design public services to legal certainty, interoperability, AI and employee trust, the discussion focused on what matters most to business: turning digital progress into solutions that actually work in practice.
At FIC Serbia Insight into The Digital Workplace: Law, Technology & People, we brought together Mihailo Jovanović, Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, Zoran Martinović, Assistant Minister of Labour, Milena Jakšić Papac, President of the FIC Human Resources Committee (Karanovic&Partners), and Sava Drača, President of the FIC Legal Committee (Karanovic&Partners).
FIC Serbia also expresses gratitude to the Delegation of European Union to the Republic of Serbia for their long-standing partnership and to the European House for their warm hospitality and professionalism throughout the event.
The event was supported by FIC Regulatory Officers Tamara Kapor and Ana Šljukić.
