Currently, holding a position as Supervisor tax for Southeast Europe at Philip Morris Services d.o.o. Beograd with over 15 years of experience in taxation in SEE and EU region and over 4 years in Canada. This journey formed a comprehensive understanding and reliable practical knowledge of direct and indirect taxation in SEE and EU. Beside the management of regular tax processes, the strongest point is comprehension of legislative requirements in SEE and EU and efficient applicability and correlation with business processes in different countries. On that note, Vanja took an active role in various legislative changes in Serbia as well as in the region, especially in the area of Fiscalization/Electronic invoicing laws; excise; corporate and personal income tax law; and Paraficals.

The great passion of setting up and improving the tax processes was the best presented as a lead in two projects: (a) the implementation of the electronic invoicing in Albania; (b) the global PMI project of improvements in applicability of PMI transfer pricing practice.

A good comprehension of tax legislation and continuous exchange of experience in the region helps me to resolve complex issues and to improve current processes which so far resulted in a positive outcome of all tax audits in SEE cluster. Besides the experience in this region my taxation carrier started as tax advisor in Canada with main focused on personal income tax and taxation for small businesses.
