“Sava neživotno osiguranje” a.d.o. Belgrade became an integral part, i.e. a member of Sava Insurance Group in 2006.

Sava Insurance Group is a Slovenian company, but also an international group engaging in insurance and reinsurance activities.  The founder of the Group is Sava Re Reinsurance Company with its registered seat in Ljubljana, which is also the sole owner of “Sava neživotno osiguranje” a.d.o. Belgrade. Sava Re, with enviable international reputation and excellent performances, is one of the largest reinsurance companies in the Central and Eastern Europe.


The offer of Sava neživotno osiguranje includes numerous property insurance packages which provide the insured persons, both legal and natural, with the safety and financial protection from harmful effects and economic disturbances that occur in case of an insured event.

“Sava životno osiguranje” operates within Sava Insurance Group in Serbia and offers various life insurance products. These products provide the insured persons and the insurance beneficiaries with financial protection and savings.

Company’s team: The management structure of the company consists of the Assembly, the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board. The Supervisory Board consists of: Jošt Dolničar – the president, Nebojša Šćekić – a member, Josif Jušković – a member. The Executive Board consists of: Bojan Mijailović – the president, Aleksandar Ašanin – a member, Mirjana Bogićević – a member.

Sava neživotno osiguranje has more than 350 employees and provides the services through its office in Belgrade and 27 branch offices in all major cities in Serbia.

The company has been growing year after year – the number of insurees has increased, the number of employees as well, the technical reserves have increased, we are opening new branch officers on the Serbian market, etc.

  1. How do you perceive Sava neživotno osiguranje a.d.o. Beograd strategy for further growth on this market?

The companies tries to provide to its insurees all the necessary and important information related to our products and their advantages, as well as to the importance of insurance as such. We try to explain to our insurees in a very precise manner what they had insured and what types of insurance coverage we offer. The entire sales network, as well as all of the company’s employees, are involved in these tasks, because our basic principles are that the client comes first and that we all need to be of service to our clients.

First and foremost, we try to establish a partner-like relationship with our clients by providing quality service and being flexible in our approach to their requests related to various insurance coverage needs. With regards to damage liquidation, which is the last phase of the insurance service provision process, we try to be proactive. Having new and improved insurance products helps us find new insurees and fight strong market competitors.

  1. What is in your view the role of FIC and what are your expectations?

The Council has a very important role to play in promoting the Serbian market with the assistance of its members and their vast international experience, as well as in encouraging new investors to invest here with the help of the authorities of the Republic of Serbia. We expect for the positive trend of foreign investments to continue, and hope that FIC, in cooperation with its members and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, will contribute to the harmonization of local legislation with European regulations and standards.
