Milena is a Senior Partner and Head of the Employment Practice Group, with more than 18 years of experience in employment and labour law. She advises clients on a wide range of strategic and day-to-day employment matters, with a particular focus on sensitive termination cases, the structuring of complex compensation and benefits packages, trade union relations, and collective bargaining.

She has extensive experience in drafting and revising employment law documentation, advising on employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, managing complex and large-scale redundancy procedures, and providing counsel on outsourcing arrangements and employment disputes. She also advises clients employing foreign nationals in Serbia.

Milena’s clients include multinational companies, international organisations, and diplomatic missions. She is a highly regarded legal practitioner and has consistently been ranked as a top-tier lawyer in the field of employment law by leading international legal directories.

Milena graduated from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law. Prior to joining Karanović & Partners, she worked at the Municipal Court in Subotica. She is a registered attorney with the Belgrade Bar Association and a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).

Under her leadership, the Employment Practice Group became an affiliate of Ius Laboris, a leading global alliance of employment law practitioners. She currently serves as President of the Foreign Investors Council Human Resources Committee and is a regular speaker at prominent HR and employment law conferences and events worldwide.
