On April 3rd, FIC Digital and E-Commerce Committee member Srecko Sekeljic from SoGe bank, moderated panel at the International Day ahead of the WB Digital Summit.

This was the opportunity to promote FIC and its dedication to digitalization among stakeholders in this area and general public. The event was held as part of the Serbian Digital Week, organized around the high-level WB Digital Summit. Srecko moderated panel “Global Business in Digital Era”, with panelists coming from companies in this sector and business associations including AmCham and Japanese Business Alliance in Serbia. As a moderator, he drew attention to the impact of digital economy on business, threats and benefits from the possibility to do business from anywhere and target any market, online channels and automatization of business processes, government’s commitment to the Digital Economy and attitude on the role of technological advancement in everyday lives. The participants also reflected on how the everyday business looked like when they started their careers and compared it to nowadays when social media, video conferences, voice recognition etc. became a part of everyday business life. All agreed on the need to educate the people to use digital technologies more and that expectations are higher now  regarding the quality of digital services.
