On February 14, HR Committee held a special meeting with the Labor Ministry on a Staff Leasing Law.
Interest of members was very high, as relevant issues were discussed with the State Secretary Bojana Stanic and other Ministry representatives. It was concluded that this is completely new piece of legislation and that Ministry is aware that once the implementation begins problems will arise and that they are ready to listen to industry and try to resolve these issues in the upcoming period. It was the opportunity to clarify significant issues on the implementation of the Law, such as: various situations and rights of the assigned employees in comparison to the comparable employees; specific questions regarding the 10% quota of employment of the leased staff; as well as some rules of operations of the Staff Leasing Agencies. Meeting was attended by more than 40 FIC members who took the opportunity to raise issues of interest for business. Other Ministry representatives included Head of the Department for Normative and Study-Analytical Affairs in the field of work Snezana Bogdanovic, Maja Ilic from the Labor Inspectorate and Gordana Budimovic from the Sector for Labor and Employment. This month, FIC organizes another important meeting on Staff Leasing – FIC Insight, a special presentation of the new Law for members.
