Dušan was born on 25 June 1972 in Mexico. As a child of a TANJUG correspondent, he spent his childhood in Mexico City, Madrid and Washington, learning foreign languages and immersing himself in diverse cultures.
He graduated from the Law School at the University of Belgrade in 1995 and passed the bar exam in 2000. His commitment to continuous improvement has led to numerous diplomas and certificates, including the Swiss IUKB MBA, DPO and Compliance certificates from Bocconi University in Milan, and the Certificate for Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS).
Dušan began his career in 1995 at the legal department of the National Bank of Serbia. After gaining rich experience, he left the NBS in 2010 having served as the head of the legal department. Subsequently, he led the legal department of Vojvodjanska banka for two years. He became the head of the Legal Affairs Directorate at Generali Osiguranje Srbija in 2012. As a legal expert specialising in consumer protection and the operations of central banks and other financial institutions, he was involved in projects with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Due to his unwavering focus on customer needs, he was assigned responsibilities for marketing and customer relations, becoming an associate member of the Executive Board in 2021.
In his current role, Dušan combines his legal expertise with a desire to make law more client friendly. His motto “Our boss is not the company; our boss is the customer” underscores his commitment to simplifying insurance products, improving terms and conditions, and enhancing communication with clients. His goal is not to have just a satisfied customer but a loyal one who always chooses Generali.
He spends his free time pursuing his favorite hobbies: cooking, photography, and running. With numerous marathon medals behind him, he has a strong desire to continue winning. He is a proud father to five children and a devoted husband.
In the past few years actively participated in drafting proposals for the White Book (insurance and financial consumers protection). Also, actively as moderator participated in the 1st and 2nd Financial Sector Conference.
