FIC representatives met Director of the Office for Information Technologies and e-Government Mihailo Jovanovic on June 24 to hear about current activities and Government’s digitalization plan.
Main info presented at the meeting are that e-Government Development Plan for the next 3 years will be adopted by the Government next month. There is also a plan to systematically digitalize all Governmental services, while some of them have been already implemented: e-inspector, eZUP, e-baby, e-cadastral, local tax administrations linking, e-foreigner, e-kindergarten… On July 3, building of a new Data Centre in Kragujevac will start which will be five times larger than the one in Belgrade. Jointly with Republican Secretariat for Public Policies, 2500 administrative procedures will be digitalized in next few years, while first 100 procedures will be digitalized in upcoming year. Also, pos terminals for cashless paying are introduced in cadastres and local self-governments, while a pilot project is under way in Ljermontova police station. The meeting was also used as the opportunity to discuss potential future cooperation between FIC and the Office. The FIC was represented by Chairpersons of Digital & E-Commerce Committee Nebojsa Jovanovic and Marija Djindjic and Telco Committee President Dejan Susnjar, along with FIC Regulatory Officer Jelena Lazarevic.
