IKEA Serbia: Sales Revenue EUR 47.2 M, Good Results

In the first financial year of its business operations, IKEA Serbia had recorded sales in the amount of over RSD 5.6 billion (EUR 47.2 million) and this department store had hosted 1.8 million visitors in Belgrade, as announced yesterday from the company.

"These are very good business results for a young market like the one in Serbia and we see many positive trends," said Stefan Vanoverbeke, the director of IKEA Serbia and IKEA South East Europe’s CEO. During the first fiscal year in Serbia, IKEA achieved a market share of 11 percent and 54 percent of almost eight million sold products were pieces of furniture, while 46 percent were accessories and decorations for home. IKEA also states that the preparations for the construction of Belgrade shopping center near the department store has started.
