The Fifth Cycle of Olympic Support VOJVODJANSKA BANK – THE OFFICIAL BANK OF THE OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OF SERBIA AS WELL ON THE WAY TO TOKYO 2020

Belgrade, June 28, 2017 – After Athens, Beijing, London and Rio, Vojvodjanska Bank will be the official bank of our national Olympic team as well on the way to Tokyo 2020 Games. By signing the fifth in a row Sponsorship Agreement with the Olympic Committee of Serbia, [the Bank] has once again confirmed today its commitment to actively participate in the development of our Olympic sports, and creation of better conditions for our athletes.

So far, in cooperation between these two institutions, Vojvodjanska Bank has additionally sponsored numerous athletes, among which are Ivana Španović, Ivana Maksimović, Anja Crevar, and many others. The official event of agreement signing regarding the continuation of cooperation has been attended by Olympic athletes Andrea Arsović, a representative in aching, as well as by Marko Novaković and Nebojša Grujić, representatives in two-seater kayak discipline. Besides the mentioned support, Vojvodjanska Bank has created a unique Olympic donor card, of whose transactions, funds have been collected to support our national team six years so far.

“After many years of successful cooperation, Vojvodjanska Bank and the Olympic Committee of Serbia can proudly sum the results – numerous successes, medals, and high reputation of our national sports and athletes on the world stage. We stand in the same place today as well, united in a mutual goal – to support new generations of winners”, stated Marinos Vathis, President of the Executive Board of Vojvodjanka Bank, and added:

“I am extremely proud to sign for the second time, since I’ve been part of Vojvodjanska Bank, a Protocol on Cooperation with the Olympic Committee of Serbia, which is the fifth time for the Bank. Therefore, we create together better conditions for the national Olympic sports today. We write history, which will, I am convinced, record great victories of our champions.”

Božidar Maljković, President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia, thanked Vojvodjanska Bank, as one of most reliable partners of the national Olympic sports, for the support it has been providing for many years: “Vojvodjanska Bank has been continuously with Serbian Olympic athletes since the Olympic Games in Athens, and now on the way to Tokyo 2020. During all these years, I’ve got the impression that the partnership has grown to friendship. We have grown and made progress together, and I do believe that in the new Olympic cycle we can do more and better. Certainly, the longevity of this partnership has been the best of both worlds. In Vojvodjanska Bank, we do have a corporate social responsible partner who shares our values, understands needs of superb sport, and recognizes superb sport as a great place for investment. The Bank achieved great marketing results in the past years, thanks to this partnership, which mean a lot for us, and it makes us happy. It confirms that investment to superb sport does not represent a donation, but investment to self-growth and development.”
