SCC National Award for Corporate Social Responsibility Won by Delta Holding
Serbian Chamber of Commerce awarded National Award for Corporate Social Responsibility to the companies that have demonstrated the greatest commitment to the principles of social responsibility. Delta Holding won the first prize in the category of large companies
Delta Holding was awarded based on the jury’s prior assessment of all areas of social responsibility: product quality, care about employees, attitude to business partners, environmental protection and support to social community. As an illustration for the last segment, Delta Holding presented two projects for sustainable agricultural development: Plantation for the Future, which facilitates development of social entrepreneurship in agriculture, and Fund for the Future that provides know-how for future agricultural experts.
Marija Desivojević Cvetković, Delta Holding Senior Vice President: "We as a company do not choose our actions for the sake of awards, but when we receive an award like this one, then it stands as a confirmation that we have properly selected and carried out our strategies and that we are improving the society in which we live and work".
The awards were decided by a jury that included representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Ambassador for Sustainable Development, and Olivera Kovacevic, editor of public broadcaster Radio Television of Serbia.
The contest lasted six months and 50 companies took part in it.
