Partnering for Growth
FIC delegation headed by FIC President Yana Mikhailova met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and agreed concrete steps to improve cooperation and work together to increase competitiveness of the Serbian market.
The Foreign Investors Council congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihalovic for achievements in the real estate sector reforms, which strongly contributed to good results in the recently published FIC’s White Book score card. FIC President Yana Mikhailova said that FIC sees Ms Mihajlovic as a champion of change, who delivered concrete positive results in upgrading the business environment, in the real estate sector, but also in the wider set of reforms executed under her leadership by the Doing Business working group. “You have experience in solving problems and we are very interested in hearing your views and proposals how to speed up reforms in Serbia”, said FIC President.
Deputy Prime Minister Mihajlovic supported the proposal of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and announced concrete steps in forming of the joint task force between the Serbian Government and the Foreign Investors Council as a tool to jointly ensure accelerated improvement of the business environment. Forming of the joint task force will enable synergy to achieve stronger reform progress, more investments, and better results in the future White Book score cards.
Moreover, two parties discussed cooperation in the planned real estate reforms, especially related to land conversion and cadaster, but also tackled topics of regional market and infrastructure development.
