FIC President in CorD New Year Survey
In CorD’s traditional New Year survey published on December 21, FIC President Yana Mikhailova outlined that the three main FIC expectations from the Government are to accelerate structural reforms, cut bureaucracy, improve the implementation of laws and continue harmonization of laws with EU Acquis.
Answering the question on FIC focus in 2017, FIC President summed the WB findings, and outlined that most attention will be paid to the areas in which the least improvement was marked, including but not limited to taxes and labour regulation. Asked about the cooperation with other chambers, Mikhailova outlined FIC independence, but also the readiness to cooperate on ad hoc basis for the benefit of members. When it comes to the particular issue of the SCC Council of Mixed Chambers, she said that FIC welcomed the initiative to share experiences, but that the decision on FIC membership was about to be taken at the FIC Annual Assembly. CorD’s survey FOCUS Business Leaders gathers views of the prominent businesspeople, representatives of chambers and business organizations that bring together local and foreign businesses and investors in Serbia, on business environment and challenges in the period ahead.
