Antitrust: Serbian Companies’ Perspective – Examples & Recommendations

Peterhof Consulting & Edu organizes a one-day seminar in the field of antitrust (competition protection), which is completely focused on the company's perspective, potential problems that they can face and concrete recommendations in the phase of problem prevention or reaction to an already existing problem. The seminar will be based on a large number of examples from Serbian and foreign practice, interactive discussion and concrete recommendations for specific situations. All recommendations will refer to reducing the risk of competition violations or to the optimal behavior of companies in the case open procedure.

  •         Introduction by the President of the Commission for Protection of Competition
  •         The most important events in the field of competition protection in Serbia in the last 12 months
  •         Summary of the current legal framework and expected changes in the Competition Law 

Session 2:

  •          Unannounced insights - examples of practice and recommendations for companies 
  •          Leniency Program - modalities of application, experience of the Commission 
  •          Application of Article 58 of the Law to Practice Abuse of Abuse and Settlement in Restrictive Arrangements - what options are available to companies that have open proceedings before the Commission? 
  •          Restrictive agreements - examples of practice and recommendations for companies 

Session 3:

  •          Abuse of a dominant position - examples from practice and recommendations for companies 
  •          Reporting of concentrations - examples of practice and recommendations for companies 
  •          Determining the level of punishment - mitigating and aggravating circumstances, the experience of the Commission 
  •          Antritrust Compliance Programs - How to Train Employees to Avoid Prohibited Practices?  
  •          A brief quiz of knowledge with practical issues
  •          Questions and answers (questions can be asked completely anonymously before the event and in the answers will not be mentioned specific companies and branches)

All participants who apply in time can post anonymous questions before 8th of October. After a registration fee is received, participants will get a link for questions. These questions will be answered during the course of the seminar. There is an option to ask questions during the seminar itself.

Each participant receives an Antitrust Compliance Manual with a list of prohibited and allowed practices in the field of competition protection, which can serve as a permanent reminder of permitted and prohibited activities.

Participants in the seminar can be owners and representatives of companies from the real and financial sector.

The topics will be covered from the multidisciplinary economic and legal angle, so that the seminar can be attended by employees from the legal affairs, sales, finance and all other sectors that have touch points with the topic of protection of competition. It is not necessary to be from the field of antitrust to follow the seminar, as key terms will be carefully clarified and supported by examples.

Registration Fee

Price per person is 17.000 rsd + VAT

If there are two or more representatives from the same companies, Peterhof allows 10% discount.

Members of the Foreign Investors Council in Serbia will receive an 10% discount on total ammount of participation fee (please note “FIC Member” in application form)
